Posting after the Mattel toy recall.
Before the recall, I thought that outsourcing was a sad but acceptable part of business. Companies want to make as much profit as possible and buyers want the best deals; outsourcing gives you both. Its sad to see American companies not supporting its people. There used to be a pride in being made in America. Plus, cheaply made products have the habit of having short lives.
Post recall, childish part of me wants to do a "Ha Ha" ala Nelson of 'The Simpson'. But the adult part of me is thankful that so far nothing deadly has been reported. Now, I'm wondering how many other potentially life threatening issues are out there.
