Well yeah, the moon's light is technically the light reflected from the sun, but it is still primarily because of the moon that we have light at night; we couldn't even have the sun's reflected light if it wasn't there.
As for the logic . . . I can admit that it's a little hard to follow without faith. I go pretty strictly by what the Bible says, and it says he let the sun and moon "govern" the day and night. Unfortunately, it doesn't say why; maybe it's just so he doesn't have to do it all the time.
Anyway, we won't get into the validity of the Bible. What matters is this: my logic on the length of the days has nothing wrong with it. The point of this topic is to debate different interpretations of what the Bible says regarding creation, and this stuff about the context of "day" that I've been rambling about is my primary defense.
