There are serious problems with the dating methods. They assume things. Basically we can only see so much of the decay of whatever element (usually carbon), and we can't really see how the half-lives go. What we can see (in terms of a line graph) is a little tiny bit of a linear line, so we assume that it continues in the same fashion, but we don't know.
Also, if you give the same rock to two different scientists, they will come up with insanely different ages--millions of years in difference. I guess when you already believe in billions of years, a few million doesn't seem like much, but it is a major difference.
God has a concept of everything. He knows everything. He is omniscient. To say God is unaware of something seems belittling.
