In the wake of Charles Xavier's death over a year ago, Ororo had been bestowed with a whole new set of responsibilities. In addition to being the sole leader of the X-Men, she was also now the headmistress of a school for 'special' children; ones gifted with extraordinary abilities, thanks to a particular gene they all possessed. Like the children she was now fully in charge of, she too had special powers - in her case, the ability to control/influence the weather. But even with these powers, it didn't make things any easier for her at the mansion. Luckily for her, she didn't have to face these new sets of challenges alone.
Many of the older students and senior staffers had decided to all pitch in and lend a hand whenever necessary, even Wolverine had stuck around to aide her in her time of need.
Admittedly, Storm hadn't had much faith in the feral mutant in the beginning. He seemed to have a bad case of 'wanderlust,' therefore she felt he was not very dependable enough to rely on. But he ended up being the most dependable and trustworthy of them all. It was funny how those things tended to work out, eh?
Standing from behind a polished, mahogany desk (which was practically covered in piles of paperwork), Ororo Munroe moved around it, heading for the office door. However, just a few feet shy of the doorway, something very odd happened; right as she approached the door, a blinding light appeared on the carpeted floor and she 'fell' right through it. And before she knew it, she materialized in the middle of a grand space - a lobby or foyer, she gathered, just by the look of things.
After all of the things she had seen (and done), not much fazed the weather witch. But this, even she had to admit, was new and unfamiliar territory. She had never disappeared and reappeared in another place without the assistance of a teleporter, and as far as she was aware, she was not one.
Once she had taken a moment to regain her barrings, the white-haired woman moved forward, towards the front desk and rang the bell a couple times. Hopefully she'd be able to get some answers and fast.
