Chapter 30 raws Hameln no Violinist ~Shchelkunchik~ 30 MQ RAW
This is a flashback to Shchel's past. We see him getting bullied by people he calls "friends" and protected by a rather tsundere-ish Harmony. It seems his hometown has a tradition where youths who turn 15 years old go meet the Great Fairy Goddess, a rose fairy or something like that; and apparently those who leave the city never come back and are never heard from again. Shchel's parents left for untold reasons, and he's being raised by the community... but unlike Stacatto to Flute, they all kind of treat him badly and don't care much about him, but Shchel, extreme doormat that he was, still talks about them with gratefulness.
Both Harmony and Shchel still have a year to meet the fairy, and Harmony is excited about it (with dreams of a Princess Fairy and Princess dresses...), but Shchel is all "Magicorps is much cooler" XD Kids apparently receive a ring when the opportunity to meet the Great Fairy arrives, but Harmony received hers early, and Shchel wears the one that belonged to his disappeared mother. (Both these rings were in Harmony's fingers in previous chapters, implying that Shchel gave her his mother's.)
It's the day of a festival where it seems to be a tradition to show a fairy in public, and they mention in several stances the words "Rose's Thorn", or "Thorn of the Rose", apparently a traditional part of the festival, or a dance. On the stage there's a creepy clown called Baroque, who seems to be a regular; everyone calls him "Baroque-san" and seems to know him. He pulls out a cage where a battered Piroro is locked. Everyone is happy and amazed to see her, and Shchel is the only one who seems to notice that she's shackled and wounded. When he comments on it, though, Harmony suddenly starts crying, saddened that Shchel wants to leave the city, since those who do are never heard from again; but he promises that he'll come back no matter what, and as a Great Mage. Then Baroque calls out for those who'll take part in the Rose's Thorn, and Harmony cheerfully pulls Shchel along for it.
The last page says the third volume is coming out. I can't find anywhere the information about which chapters will be included in it, though; if anyone does, or buys the volume, please tell me.
