Hermione didn't know if that was entirely true. While she was the biggest champion for their rights, she also knew that many of them had not been all that impressed with her over zealous attempt to free them all several years ago. In that time she had come to know that to an extent they enjoyed their lives provided they had kind masters.
"We'll need to swing by Hagrid's first and make sure he is aware that we're in the forest," Hermione added to the list of things they needed to do before heading in. Getting Hagrid's permission would secure that they were following the rules and allow someone to know they were there since she hadn't exactly made sure that Ron and Harry knew she was taking off for the evening.
When Luna held up the necklaces Hermione had to force a smile across her face. She counted Luna among her best friends but there were still times when the other girl's quirks were a bit much for Hermione to take.
