Who: Blaise and Millicent
What: Blowing crap up
When: Thursday afternoon
Where: Out on the grounds
Blaise didn't know how to handle the feelings that welled up now every time he looked at Daphne. He'd always felt extremely close to her. She'd been his best friend for longer than he could remember. She'd been there when his father Vincent had died just as he'd been there for Daphne when she lost her Vincent. Blaise knew that no matter what happened between them that she would always be a fixture in his life. Or at least he thought that was what he knew to be true.
He had accepted a long time ago that Daphne was not to be his. Love was not something that was to be considered in their circles. You did what you had to do for the advancement and betterment of your family. Connections were made with thoughts of who's children would marry whom well before those babies were ever born. Or at least that was how it had been before the war.
For the past year Blaise had made sure he'd been there for her any time Daphne had need of him. That was what friends did for one another, true friends anyway. At some point during that year hope had crept in and planted a seed. A seed that Blaise had not felt burrowing into his soul until about a week ago. That had been when he'd seen Daphne with Kevin. In all honesty it might have been completely innocent and there was no reason for the jealousy that had boiled over. Still, Blaise wasn't going to put a voice to anything by asking her about it. So here he stood for the second time in less than a week blasting rocks to smithereens.
