Stephen sighed. It was difficult for him to open up to his friends, it just wasn't something that the poor boy did very well and it didn't matter if the information was something he wanted to share or not. He just honestly didn't know how to do it the way others seemed to. When many wanted to talk about themselves, nothing made Stephen want to shy away faster. He wasn't an open book by nature, and others found that hard to deal with when they were all looking for a connection.
And of course, many thought he was extra quiet because of what had happened last year, and part of it was in fact that reason, but too, he just didn't really want to spoil his time with Tracey. It was sort of exciting it being all secret.
He sighed, closing his book and looking at Terry who was giving him his concerned eyes. Stephen blew upwards, some of the hair flying about. "Honestly mate, nothing's wrong. Things are good. Trying to get the most out of this year considering..." He didn't finish that sentence as he didn't need to. Everybody knew the end of a sentence like that was 'Last Year'. Biting down on his bottom lip he mulled over what he'd tell Terry.
"Really good actually. And fine, yes, there is a girl, but I'm not telling you who." He said, deciding that must be enough information for Terry. Yeah right.
