Who: Kieran Bundy and Justin Finch-Fletchley (with a cameo by Lesley Toddington) When: After this lovely conversation Where: Hufflepuff Summary: Drunk Justin is drunk. Rating: Lord only knows...
"Please will you just open the feckin' hell up, ya stupid door!"
Kieran rarely ever yelled. He was rarely ever in such an agitated state so as to actually use a tone of voice that would sound aggravating to his own ears. But here he was, standing in front of that infernal Hufflepuff doorway begging the damn thing to open up and let him in. He'd tried every possible combination of what he could decipher from Justin's drunken handwriting, but so far, the door would not budge. He was desperate. Justin needed him. It was clear the boy couldn't hold his liquor, and Kieran knew that if he didn't take care of him, no one likely would.
He was about to give up, about to just start kicking at the door until somebody opened it from the inside or something when he heard a slight noise behind him. Turning his head quickly, he noticed a small figure coming around the corner. Once his eyes adjusted to the dim light, he let out a sigh of relief. "Lesley," he called out to the girl. His cheeks glimmering slightly from either sweat or tears... or both. "Lesley, please. Ya've got to help me. I've got to get to Justin. He's... drunk and... And I fear he's gonna..."
His fears were much too morbid to lay on this shy, Hufflepuff before him. Her Prefect badge gleamed on her chest as she strolled toward him, her eyes locked on his as if trying to figure out a complex puzzle. Was she trying to decide whether to let him in or not? Was she going to suggest that she take care of Justin, who was likely going to throw up the contents of his stomach repeatedly tonight? Was she going to leave him out here to suffer as he contemplated the fate of his boyfriend? "Please, Lesley, I beg you. I will do anything, just please. Let me in there. I can help him."
Lesley visibly took in a breath before stepping forward. She unlocked the door to the Hufflepuff Common Room with such ease that Kieran instantly felt stupid for not having figured it out himself. The downfall of letting emotions cloud your judgement obviously. She stood aside and wordlessly allowed him access to the Hufflepuff Common Room with a slight nod. "You are a saint. May the angels guard you and watch over you always." He grabbed her quickly and hugged her before dashing through the opening, only catching the tail end of her "Good luck!"
By the time he made it to the dorms, he was out of breath again. The struggle of trying to get in mixed with the worry restricted his airways. And when he spoke, the words came out as gasps. "Justin? Justin?"
