Who: Parvati and Andy When: Early Sunday morning Where: Gryffindor Common Room Summary: Meditation might not be the answer but there is only one way to find out. Rating: Low
Waking with a jolt Parvati held her breath; she hadn't meant to fall asleep and she certainly didn't want to wake Seamus. She knew she had to stop sneaking into his bed but it had become a habit so quickly. No, it was more like an addiction if she was being honest with herself. She rarely spoke to him while he was conscious anymore but that didn't stop her from watching him sleep, talking to him in her head.
When she was certain that she hadn't disturbed him she slid out of his bed and tip toed out of the room. She had an appointment with Andy Kirke this morning, she was going to teach him to meditate, attempt to anyway. She hoped that she would be the first to arrive in the common room, she didn't want him to see her coming from the boy’s dorms, there would be too many questions she couldn't answer. She had changed out of her pajamas into clothes she felt comfortable meditating in before she had paid her visit to Seamus so she didn't need to head back to her dorm room. When she reached the common room she pulled a throw blanket off the back of the sofa and folded it in half a couple of times. It wasn't perfect but it would work in a pinch as something comfortable to sit on. She set it on the floor and sat, working on centering herself before Andy joined her. They had been unable to get together previously, Andy blamed himself but Parvati knew she could have reminded him the night before, she didn’t want him to dwell on the missed time, it wasn't helpful to either of them.
Andy seemed interested in learning about meditation; she hoped that he found it useful. Parvati wasn't entirely sure it would work for him considering how active he was, both physically and internally. When she watched him she could practically see his thoughts rolling in his head. That didn't mean she wasn't willing to try though. She rolled her head, stretching her neck as she waited.
