Oh if only Susan knew how much her sincere words and compliments meant to him. She was a friend, but she was the closest girl-space-friend he could ever have. There was Mandy, but with Susan, it was a whole different level. She was important to him, and if there was anyone's opinion that mattered that most to him, it would be Susan's. He knew it came from the heart, and not just told to make himself feel better.
Terry was glad there was no trouble between Susan and Kevin. He was protective of her and he wouldn't hesitate to bop Kevin on the head if he dared to try and hurt the pretty Hufflepuff in any way - physically, emotionally, and mentally. Maybe even spiritually if religion was a thing around here. He didn't want to pry to get all the juicy details. He still had some respect for the couple's privacy. "Yes, your love story! Isn't that what it is?" He wondered why Susan would be laughing.
Terry matched Susan's pace of slowing down, just allowing them to sway side to side lest they get tired from dancing and talking at the same time. He really liked dancing with her, and hopefully this spontaneous one wouldn't be the last. "Sure, ask away."
