Ron paused midway into putting something on his plate. He glanced up at Justin, his face frozen in some unrecognizable emotion. It was only for a brief moment though as Ron finally managed to compose himself enough to drop the pastry onto his plate. "Yeah, yeah," he replied nonchalantly. He wasn't sure what it was that had unsettled him. Was it that Justin had reminded him that he was dating a boy or that he hadn't realized how Hermione had been the only person to bid on him?
"I didn't sign myself up either. I bet it was George..." He shook his head and had to do an awkward balancing act with his hand to keep on his desserts from toppling from his plate. "Things are..." He thought about this for a moment. "Better than last year." He shrugged. "I can't complain honestly. I think some part of me has been waiting on pins and needles for something to happen this year. But it hasn't, which is good." Though he wasn't about to rule out the possibility of it yet.
