Ginny rewarded Seamus' joke with a quick glare, though she couldn't stay angry enough to hex him when he was helping her out of the very cold lake.
"Very funny," she muttered, obviously a little bit annoyed. Whether that was at Seamus or herself or life in general was anyone's guess. She wasn't having the best time of it and falling in the lake definitely wasn't what she needed today.
Still, none of it was Seamus' fault, she knew that. He was having a rough time, too, she was sure. Especially with that article about Lavender. Talking to the reporter couldn't have been easy - Ginny knew how hard it was to talk about Fred to anyone, let alone someone looking to put it in print.
She took his hand and pulled herself out, using him for support and offered him something of a weak smile. "Thanks."
