Yeah, Terry hadn't expected himself to answer that way either. He usually didn't open about himself too much with people he barely knew, but truly, he sometimes had no filters at all. The weight of their conversation didn't call for some of his usual humor either, and while he would have done so to make the air a little lighter, he still didn't feel right. Doing so might have Lily think he was taking lightly all the things that happened in the past, and he for sure wasn't. It was a bit of a serious topic at hand, and it deserve to be taken tightly.
Terry nodded again at her answer. Even though he had known her for a long time, he didn't actually know her. "I don't think you're weak. I doubt anyone would, and if they do, well.. they're very much wrong. It's true that we all have our weak sides, our weaknesses, but sometimes it's those as well that help make us stronger." He shrugged, before inhaling on his stick again; he was nearly finished with it already. He hoped what he said made sense to Lily.
"I'd remember you." He said, turning his head at you. "It's obvious we haven't spoken much during the past years, but this night alone? I'm going to remember it. So that's at least one person you know who won't forget you." With his free hand, he lifted it to nudge her a little. He wasn't sure what her thought were regarding her own personal space, but Terry didn't really care much. He just wanted to assure her that she could trust him.
