Who: Damon Harper, Miranda and Stephen Cornfoot When: During his free period Where: Isolated part of the castle on a windowsill Summary: Damon takes a break from studies and Quidditch Rating: TBD
Miranda made the sweetest sounds as Damon expertly plucked away at her. Why he had named his guitar Miranda he had no idea. The name just seemed to fit the personality of his guitar. She was definitely a girl and unlike the other guitars he'd bought in the past, Miranda had a distinct sound. He wasn't sure of the reason behind that. He had purchased her at a wizard music store and assumed that in making Miranda, they had used some sort of magic that made her sound unique. It really didn't matter to Damon. Damon knew he loved Miranda, and Miranda loved to make beautiful music for Damon.
He propped her up on his knee as he leaned back against the windowsill, strumming her casually. The stained glass window had some kids playing Quidditch, probably at Hogwarts. It was his favorite window as a result and also because this part of the castle was one where people seldom traveled by. He would have his privacy to practice new material or just relax whenever he needed to get away from the usual venom that lingered around Slytherin House.
Damon didn't like to sing. It wasn't that he thought he had a bad voice. He just preferred to focus on the melody instead of the lyrics, but lately, he was starting to put words to his songs, and he wasn't entirely hating them. And as he reclined on the windowsill, he quietly sang the words to his latest song, unknown to him that he was being watched from a distance.
"I've been alone Surrounded by darkness I've seen how heartless The world can be
I've seen you crying You felt like it's hopeless I'll always do my best To make you see
Baby, you're not alone Cause you're here with me And nothing's ever gonna bring us down Cause nothing can keep me from lovin' you And you know it's true It don't matter what'll come to be Our love is all we need to make it through"
