Nodding in understanding Justin agreed, "Yes, it would have been even more suspicious if I found out from a third party, it would have looked as if you were hiding it. So yes it was better that it came from you."
Justin had to frown at Draco's next comment, he started to feel annoyed at what he was perceiving to be the other boy's arrogance. "Really, do you actually think that we, the Hufflepuff team need your help in purchasing equipment? That without your benevolence we couldn't keep up?" Justin's stance went from cautious to defensive and his grip on the broom tightened. Even if the team was made up solely of people without the means to purchase their own equipment it was insulting that Draco insinuated Hufflepuff was no match for Slytherin without expensive gifts or was it charity.
"Your acceptance of Muggleborns is new so maybe you don't understand or perhaps it is because I don't have the standing or notoriety in the Wizarding world that you and friends do." Justin rarely made reference to his family's financial standing, not since he blurted out that he had a place at Eton in second year and all most nobody knew what that meant but right now he felt the need to put Draco in his place. "Muggleborn does not automatically equal poverty. I don't need your help buying a new broom. I still use the previous Firebolt model because I like it, it's practically like new since I couldn't use it for over a year but if I wanted to, I could buy everyone on the team one of these!" He shook the broom in his hand.
