But the emotionally draining conversation with he and Padma from the night before, despite it's resolution, only open up a new line of thought for Anthony. Sure. He apologized, she accepted and raised her lips for a kiss - which he gladly, if somewhat nervously gave. They parted once they arrived in the common room, with nothing more than verbal goodnights. And Anthony tossed and turned, thinking of every possibility scenario that this sudden change could create.
Anthony had a great deal of experience with fancying girls. He had done it quite regularly since his Fourth Year. But relationships and intimacy, that was not quite so established. His one and only relationship had been Ruth - which was mostly in the form of writing letters interrupted by a few snogs when he was home - interactions that she had initiated. To have a girl that he liked (and was fairly sure at this point liked him as well) there all the time - classes, meals, common room, prefect meetings - was not something Anthony was at all used to.
He considered a great many things that night. Was what transpired that evening the beginning of something else? Would that something else lead to distractions that could affect his school work or his duties? What would their friends or classmates think? Or his family? Would he tell his family? Would she tell hers? What about Parvati? How should they act? Would this fundamentally changed the friendship that they had built over the years? The list went on and on.
Anthony was almost tempted to get a cup of tea that morning, while he sat at his usual spot at the Ravenclaw table. The need for caffeine aside, for some reason, drinking a glass of milk seemed somewhat inappropriate. Beverage yet to be determined, Anthony helped himself to some eggs and toast.
