Kenneth, meanwhile, finished pretending to read almost as soon as his friends had left. He couldn't read much without his glasses anyways, though he hadn't had the heart to tell Pet that. Thus he sat, savoring the bacon sandwich she had made for him - he had noticed the decidedly non-vegetarian, non-kosher ingredients immediately after having bit into it, but Patricia had made it specifically for him, so to hell with dietary restrictions, he'd decided. Besides, it was a bloody good sandwich. He finished it quickly while leafing through a Swedish tour guide book, barely glancing at the pictures. When he had finished, he sat for a few more moments, looking around at the flat before him before deciding to get up and take a closer look.
It wasn't snooping, he figured, if he didn't touch anything. There was nothing wrong with just having a look, right?
Kenneth was far from being a creep or a peeping tom, but that didn't stop his curiosity from getting the better of him on occasion. He walked softly around the flat, trying not to make a sound despite the fact that no-one was around to hear him. He squinted at all the titles of her book collection. He examined her knickknacks and loo. And then, feeling emboldened by having learned more about Pet in this short time than he had in all their years together at Hogwarts, he decided to sneak a peek at something more abstruse.
Feeling guilty even as he did so, he picked a drawer at random and eased it open. The contents: A beverage-filled bra, goat undies, a candy bikini.
A candy bikini?!?
"Um," he said aloud, shutting the drawer again quickly and hurrying back to the sofa, where he crossed his arms and turned a vibrant pink. Perhaps there were reasons why one shouldn't snoop. Perhaps there were more sides to his beloved Patricia than he ever would have imagined.
No more drawers were opened. Kenneth sat and waited.
