Who: Scarlet and Open Where: Outside barracks What: Just trying that relaxing thing When: Thursday afternoon
Scarlet had been told, okay more than once, that she needed to relax. She had thought she was relaxing! A good run and a book, or a book on tape, so she could keep up on the latest information in the scientific community and keep in shape at the same time. So there, relaxing and keeping in shape and learning. All at once. There were some opinions, that it wasn't really relaxing. It seemed the popular opinion that relaxing meant doing nothing at all. Or just doing something that didnt' have a purpose. That didn't exactly make sense to her, but she was willing to give it a try.
So she had purposefully not gotten into work out gear, and put on a pair of slacks and a tank. Tossing over a white dress shirt she headed outside. Fresh air was something else she had been told she should get more of. There was a nice little yard outside. Not exactly a garden or anything, but decent enough and there were even some chairs and a table with benches for those daring enough to take a lunch outside. With a book in hand, it was a novel so completely useless as far as real life application went, she headed to a lounge chair just under the larger tree.
With a sigh she settled down and got comfortable. Or what she assumed was comfortable enough and opened up the book. Something about an older woman who started a bed and breakfast and all the interesting people she met. Scarlet would try to read it, but she honestly had to wonder at why one would read something that had no value in it. After all, when she was done with the book it wasn't like she'd learn anything, it was all fictitious!
