Who: Ethan and Mac
What: A recon mission goes sour
When: Thursday, early evening
Where: BookWise
Warning: TBA/low
Ethan had spent enough time in the apartment listening to Deuc and Kali and Ennis plot and chortle and fight or whatever it was that they were doing. Aiden was nowhere to be found - smart of him, for once - and Ethan was just plain bored. So he did what any sensible teenager would do and snuck out.
Only it turned out that there wasn't much of anything to do. He'd neglected to bring his wallet so he couldn't really go anywhere, so mostly he was just wandering the streets, looking for something to do, when he caught a scent. It was weird, tingly and unpleasant but not gross smelling. He knew what it was, it was just hard to place...
He followed his nose around to a small bookshop. Peering in the window he could see a normal array of best sellers and, further into the back, some dark and dusty tomes of what looked like...magic. That's what it was, magic. Interesting. He opened the door to take a look around and was smacked in the face by the scent of another wolf. He almost let loose a growl but managed to keep himself reigned in, and he looked around. No one inside screamed 'were', but the smell was new enough. Probably someone who worked there. Also interesting.
Stepping further inside he managed to catch a whiff of the medication-clean-plastic scent of the weird kid McCall was always hanging around with. Still relatively new, not quite permeating everything but starting to sink in. Must work here. Suddenly this aimless wandering was turning into a recon mission. Hopefully he could make it as profitable as his last one. He walked further into the store, trailing his hands over the spines of the shelves of books, rubbing up against the shelves, trying to get his scent everywhere for the other wolf to smell. Mostly to be a dick, but also to send another warning.
He gave his most winning smile to the girl sitting behind the counter. "Nice night," he said as a cursory greeting, then went back to marking everything up.
