"Christ, this thing is huge," Sebastian muttered to himself as he pulled Dante's mammoth SUV into the parking lot next to the bookshop. He definitely wasn't going to complain though. Having access to a car was a freaking godsend. Being able to actually put gas in the tank when he used it would make Sebastian feel better about using it, which was the entire reason why he was at the bookstore in the first place. Dante had given him his full permission to spy on both Alec and Ranger, but he'd decided on working the magician first to set his alpha more at ease. That was a small price to pay. Sebastian was rather surprised with how quickly he'd taken to the large alpha. What was even more surprising was how quickly he'd taken to Derek. Dante provided Sebastian with a home, warmth, and understanding whereas he and Derek seemed to click on some subconscious level. There wasn't any warmth, but there was an entirely different sort of understanding.
He snorted and shook himself out of his reverie, lithely jumping down from the driver's seat of the SUV with his application in hand. Sebastian's work experience was practically nonexistent. There was never any time for another job on the farm but he counted that as experience, even if it wouldn't exactly help him in a retail job. The place smelled like magic from the outside, but it was oddly comforting scent since Dante's bedroom smelled the same thanks to the spell Lydia had cast. It was weird because this magic smelled different and yet the same.
The bell above the door rang as Sebastian entered the shop. The place looked normal enough, but it sure didn't smell normal. No werewolf was ever going to believe this was just a bookstore. "Hello?" Sebastian called out, stepping further inside.
