Week Nine: Monday

Who: Kissy and Frankie
Where: Kissy's room
When: Monday after classes
What: Kissy actually came through! Kissy may have a little crush. Needs help flying. Her family is coming!

Auuuugh! What was Frankie doing that could have kept her from her clutches for so long? Kissy had possibly done the most right thing the entire semester and then had to wait days to talk incessantly about it. It was like torture!

Although part of it was her fault. She'd been holed up in her bedroom the entire weekend existing off her food stores as she alternately cleaned, got the guest bed ready (she missed Ophelia!), and studied as much as she could possibly, humanly stand. The good news was that her creative writing class really wasn't going that bad.

French was...french, but luckily she'd gotten into an easier course so she was getting by. Math was hell. Science was hell. She was pretty certain she'd pass math as it was easy to make interesting by applying to food, shopping, and other stuff. Science not so much. There was no splitting an atom to make it fabulous.

But the worse part was that she hadn't really told anyone about how she'd been going on to her family about how, you know, she could fly now. Oh yeah, she flew to class the other day and, oh yeah, her flying teacher really said she was coming along. She flew with her faerie friends at school. She'd demonstrate her flying for them at the first possible opportunity. There may have even been a staged flying picture.

Today was the big day. Frankie was getting a big favor from Kissy, now she would need a big favor from Frankie. If she got stuck on the ceiling, somebody had to, like, bring her food and new clothes and whatnot. She was already pacing and didn't even wait for a knock. Kissy was flinging open the door anytime footsteps came by and had scared at least four passerbys before finding the right girl. "Frankie! Ohmigawd, I've been waiting!" She squeaked, reaching out to pull her into the pink fur trimmed cage of dooooooooom!...that was Kissy's bedroom.

Week Eight: Thursday

Who: Kissy and Frankie
Where: Frankie's room
When: After class
What: Supposedly doing school work, actually doing everything else BUT

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
The Faerie Princess
meets
The Spicey Sprite
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Kissy and Frankie would both probably deny it at the moment, but the girls were proabably easily paired in people's minds. The similar wings, the similar personalities, and even similar classes. They both had the same morning routines: Creative Writing, Flying. Although there were certainly differences between the two.

Of course, there lives were certainly different. Frankie was in the House of Fire and Kissy was in Zephyr House, for example! She didn't see why people had to be separated into different houses. Well, she sort of knew. It probably wouldn't be a good thing for her or new weres to live in really close proximity. Some of them could get very nosey --literally-- and already a few people had started snuffling her shoulder or arm and started to apologize profusely for it. It was okay, she got it.

Who wouldn't want to snuffle her?

She ignored a lot of the looks from the other girls as she asked directions to Frankie's room. Guess she wasn't very popular in the House of Fire, or maybe those were ladies didn't like having a huge ball of unusual scent causing chaos with their nostrils. When you had that strong sense of smell, you totally got used to things as they were. Kissy not only temporarily obliterated those very close, but also scattered her dust with every step. If she stayed in one place long enough, they might smell her for days after.

"Thanks!" She said to her helper who'd walked her right to Frankie's door...three steps away. Kissy knocked pertly a few times, gently so as not to seem too intrusive. "It's Kissy!!!!" As if half of her floor didn't already know she was there.

Week Two : Wednesday Night

Who: Svetlana and Kissy
When: The Evening
Where: Zephir House

Svetlana threw open her closet and eyed its contents. This just simply wasn't going to do. She had enough clothes to keep her going for at least a month and never wear the same outfit but what was she going to do then? She had to leave over half her clothes with her sisters when she came here and she just knew they were out wearing them right now. Pouting she began to flip through the dresses and skirts. She wanted to wear something cute. She had been wearing these boring skinny jeans and stylishly baggy blouse all day and she just felt too bohemian. Somewhere in here there had to be something for her inner Hollywood goddess. Something that Faina hadn't stolen while she was trying to pack. It was always Faina, Anya was practically a tomboy and never took any of Svetlana's clothes. Growling she eventually pulled out a dark blue knitted sweater dress.

Holding it up to herself she turned and slowly looked herself over in the mirror. It wasn't exactly fun but she had to get out of these pants. She always found pants to be terribly confining. Like her legs were trapped in skinny fabric prisons. Shrugging out of her clothes she pulled on sweater dress and slid a pair of black tights on underneath. Giving herself a twirl in front of the mirror she nodded in satisfaction. Ignoring shoes she opened the door to the hallway and leaned her head out. The roof seemed tempting but after the recent rains it could be damp out there. Grabbing her cigarettes and her vintage lighter she stepped out into the hallway. She had started to turn when she smelled something familiar. Or rather someone. Turning her head back she sniffed the air and moved slowly to her right. Coming from the room right next to hers was the familiar smell of Ophelia. Such a sweet little thing.

Tilting her head Svetlana peered into the room. The door had been left open and there was an explosion of smell and color coming from inside. Stepping forward she rested one hand on the door jamb, the other clutching her cigarettes and lighter, as she leaned her head in to look around. This certainly did no look like the place that the quiet little mouse she had met on the roof would inhabit. Tapping a toe on the floor in confusion she noted a tiny pixie of a girl in the room. Leaning in Svetlana brought her cigarette packet up to her mouth and slowly pulled one out letting it rest between her lips.

"Does a quiet little human called Ophelia live here? I can smell her but this really doesn't say her," Svetlana gestured vaguely at the room the cigarette dangling from her teeth making her accent thicker.

Chapter 1

Dear Ofeelya,

I'm your new roommate, Nichelle!!! Alot of people call me Nicha but you can call me Kissy everyone here does. :) (heart shape) Sorry I couldn't be here when you got here but can you beleive they don't let you stay out of class when you get a roomate???? I left you a mint chocolate on your pillow. LOL

C U SOON!!!!
Nicha

Kissy drew a line with a dramatic swirl at the end below her name with the same sparkling green glitter pen she'd written the note with on Sanrio stationery. She left it on the (now) empty desk on her roommate's side of the room. You could definitely see the difference, when she first showed up she just spread out and planned on finding places for stuff later.

Now the division could be seen clear down the middle. Sorta down the middle. Kissy wasn't sure where the middle was and just couldn't look too hard or she'd realize that she had an extra foot. But what was she supposed to do? There was so much stuff it looked like her side was where the snow still was and a plow had cleared off Ophelia's side. There was this big swoosh where her stuff that had been on Ophelia's side of the room was now stacked or piled up just at the threshold. Her clothes were a massive pile of semi-folded clean laundry pushing up the hung laundry and covering her shoes and bulging out of her closet.

She couldn't do much about it now, not with almost running late for her first period class. All last night she cleaned as best as she could. Maybe she could set up her stuff better while her roommate did too! Kissy was crazy excited to have a roommate. She was totally certain they'd stay up late painting their toenails and talking about boys while watching tv or listening to music. She had just found her Beyonce' album the other day and realized how much she missed listening to it on repeat.

With a final shake of dust on her new roommates side (what was a better greeting than that?) she bounded out the door.

5 or 6 hours (an eternity) later...

"WelcometoHalcyon!" She blurted out, still panting from her mad dash back to her room the SECOND she got out of her last class. It wasn't like she usually wasn't almost falling out of her seat five minutes before math class ended in her desperation to leave, but today was special. Today she may have knocked someone over actually leaving class. She stood, smile at full volume, in their doorway. It hadn't been too cold, so Kissy had broken out a black and white dress from Express with black leggings and knee high black boots with two inch heels. She had on some colorful bangles and a sparkly belt with it. Maybe it wasn't the most chic outfit she'd ever put together, but it fit her personality and looked generally trendy and modern. So it totally worked.

Once she actually focused on her roommate, she had her initial, knee-jerk reaction: MAKEOVER.
