(OMG rogue/gambit! <3 <3)
It was almost funny the way he said it, like she was so very young. Well she was in the grand scheme of things but she didn't always feel that way. "Only 18, yes. Though it is nice to be of age finally." Not to mention she hadn't ever really thought she'd make it that far. "I mean I don't feel like I'm that young, but when your teachers are over 400 years old... you feel pretty darn young. Even you would feel it I think." She had to add with a laugh. She didn't think 33 was old by any stretch of the imagination. It was just older than her, but with some of the people she'd met here age didn't seem to equal intelligence or maturity. She couldn't say that about him though, at least from what she could tell.
That whole idea didn't make a whole lot of sense to Cassandra either. But it was what she'd been told for years of her life and she had the scars to prove that. And especially now after meeting the real deal... though who knew if the types she'd heard about in the past did exist in some form. That she couldn't say, but the demons she knew blew all those ideas right out of the water. Thankfully. "I can't say I know for a fact, but I wouldn't even attempt to argue with you on that. Questions really are the only way to go. Lord knows I ask way too many of them!" And that was the truth.
"One of those things you just have to do." Cassandra said with a small shrug of her shoulders. Really was no way around it unfortunately. "Of course it does, everyone needs a little support. Though I think a lot of the people who end up here have never really had any." It was kind of sad, but that was probably part and parcel of being different. Not the case for everyone of course, but she wouldn't be shocked if it were true for many. Cassandra's nose immediately crinkled up with laughter. "PFS, I'll definitely have to remember that!"
Cassandra wouldn't want him to feel sorry for her, everyone had their problems that came here. Hers were just... well what they were. She was trying to learn to work with them. It was just a little slow going. Cassandra's head tilted to the side. "Rogue... OH I think I've seen that movie, the first one. I've missed the comic books though." And luckily for him, the movie entirely failed to include one Remy LeBeau. Shame really. "It was, I can't thank them enough. I'm sure you'll meet a lot of the staff, everyone I've met has really been great. You can ask them all the questions you want." She added with a laugh.
And finally she had to give in, she unfolded from where she was seating and one hand reached out to snag one of the brownies. "Sorry, I have a massive sweet tooth. I really couldn't resist. I'll just have to make you more later."
