"Only eighteen? Yeah... you got time. I didn't know shit, when I was eighteen. It's amazing how much you learn in the span of five years, or more. I'm thirty-three, so I've learned a lot." Rhett grinned... Eighteen? Another nail in the coven. You don't touch the teenagers, once you get past twenty-five. It just wasn't right. He imagined that Cassandra had a better understanding of certain things, that others could never even begin to grasp. Prophets did see the future, after all. He was impressed that she was so... sane. He wasn't sure he'd be able to handle such a gift. He's rather not know.
Possession was another idea that existed in the world of voodoo. But, they didn't believe that demons came in, and took control of you. But rather the souls of departed people, still wandering the earth. That made more sense to him. Why would demons want to take control of people? Especially since they had their own badass forms. Souls, who wished they were still alive, that he could see. He couldn't help but smile, "I'd like to think my smarts extends a bit beyond the world of music. I'm all about asking questions, and that's the only way you can truly learn." Yes, you could read, and study, but if you really wanted to get an idea of something, you had to ask someone, who knew about it, first hand. Then again... it was that line of thinking, which had gotten him attacked.
"I hear that." He'd never been very patient, but he'd gotten better about that, through the years. He smiled, "I think I can too, though... I'm glad someone else has faith in me as well. Makes things easier, you know?" He could give up that one night each month. Rhett began to laugh then, "I can call it... PFS. Pre-fuzziness syndrome." He knew what to expect of that week before now, it was going to be interesting here. With so many weres, wigging out.
Rhett listened intently, he felt a bit sorry for the girl. "You know, that reminds me a bit of Rogue, from the X-Men comics. She wore gloves, and when she touched people, she'd absorb powers, or memories from other people... I was a bit of a comic book nerd, when I was a kid." A kid, he was still was, don't believe the lies! Then a thought struck him.. Rogue had been in love with the Cajun Gambit. Ha..ha... not funny. Mentioning that might be entirely too awkward. "That was nice of the teachers, to fix up that necklace for you. Makes things a bit easier."
