"Back home, it wasn't thought of, as bad. It's a religion for a lot of people. I dated a girl, who was very into it, and she told me all about the good, and bad aspects of the magic. Even the bad, is never evil, if that makes sense. You've got good, and bad in life, that don't necessarily earn the title of evil. That's how it was explained to me." Rhett had meet a few witches, but until he arrived here, he hadn't considered that they might be all powerful, and shit. He thought that it was all about mind over matter. If you believed in something strongly enough, it would come true. "Though, I was careful not to piss anyone off, who I knew dabbled in all of that. Just to be on the safe side."
"Honestly, I think people are more sick, than any creature. People do some horrendous things, I think they are the true evil, not demons... What does the bible say? Demons are fallen angels? It must mean, that they felt some sort of conflict, to fall. Doesn't mean they are evil." People lost faith, or their way, all the time. It was understandable, that demons might do the same.
He nodded in agreement, "That's what Ada was saying. I really hope it's true, because this is something I have to live with, for the rest of my life. If I can get a hold of it, I don't know what I might do." He didn't want to think about that. He was trying to be optimistic, and positive. This was something he could do, he had to. There was no place for failure here. "I am glad, that when the full moon comes around, that the teachers keep an eye on us. That takes some of the weight off my shoulders, you know?"
"You're a prophet." He seemed impressed by this. Though, the more he thought about it, it must be a burden. "Does it always happen, when you touch some one, or just some times?" That would be tough. If touching brought visions each time... She would definitely need a committed boyfriend, otherwise she might see that they planned to wander. Shame she couldn't have touched Starbuck, and given Ada the heads up.
