It seemed for every person that loved their extended lifespan, that made the most of it, there was another person that loathed the years they would inevitably spend alone. Like Cassius, Cat had met more than her fair share of both.
"It definitely goes quickly," she nodded in easy agreement, "I can't quite tell just which manner is more preferable though. It isn't as if the warmer empties out and the fridge is still stocked, both hit bottom about the same time." As long as it was the kitchen, she was sure they'd made do. Cat was willing to do whatever she could to make the substance more appealing to those who were less than thrilled about it.
There was definitely a fair share of vampires and weres running about, though it wasn't as though they greatly outnumbered the other races. She definitely gave the school the old proverbial pat on the back for orchestrating such a mix of students, abilities. Not only did they have the chance to meet others that shared their gift, but those who often were their polar opposites. It was the best learning environment for their kind that Cat could imagine.
Not everyone felt that way, of course. She and Cassius could also agree that not every student was thrilled by their time at Halcyon. "There seem to be a few that wish they were elsewhere. Hopefully they'll come to terms with that before their time here really does become a nightmare." Seeing yourself as 'stuck' somewhere you didn't want to be would make things exponentially worse.
