When he smiled, she sighed with relief and smiled her own self. "I wouldn't say it if I didn't mean it." She replied, giving him that look that said that he was so silly.
She would have been disappointed, admittedly, if he didn't return the sentiment. But she would have been okay with it. She would have dealt with it and waited for it, just like she was waiting for everything else. But he did say it. And she was so happy about that that she literally squealed, the sound broken by his kiss which was met with a contented moan.
"So I have to talk to you about something." She announced after the kiss had ended. "Papa wants me to go to Iceland for break. And I wanted you to go with me but when I asked my guide, she said that wouldn't be possible because, you know... You'd have to have parental consent."
Cissy slipped off of Simon's lap and onto the bed, making herself at home as she lay back on the bed, her hand seeking out his own to lace her fingers with his. "I'm only going to stay gone for a week. I told him that was my absolute limit. And I'll email you every single day. Or call. I could call you too." She frowned, her eyes glistening a bit with the promise of tears. She always was a little over dramatic. "It's going to be so weird not seeing you every day."
