Simon really was a good kid. He was so smart and sweet and talented and bright and just... driven. He was all the things that anyone would want for someone that they cared about to be. She adored him. She more than adored him. And she went rather willingly to his arms, her eyes closing as she nuzzled into him and inhaled his scent, and the smell of charred wood, deeply.
It seemed that the hug was over far too quickly before he was pulling her with him over to the bed to have a seat. She kissed him immediately, as soon as his bottom hit the bed, positioning herself upon his lap in order to do so.
"I love you." Cissy whispered when she pulled away, her hands on either side of his face, soft palms cupping his cheeks. That wasn't what she had actually came here to tell him, but she felt it and she wanted to say it. She smiled shyly, averting her gaze from his for a moment before she chanced a quick look at his face, just to see his reaction. Yep. This was quite a scary moment.
