"Well, they say our bodies are about 80% water anyway. I guess yours just wants to convert the other 20% too."
Okay, hair touching was one thing, but hand patting was quite another. Fisher became very uncomfortable. He didn't yank his hand away, and tried not to be obvious, but again, he wasn't someone people liked to touch often. Hugs, hand touching, hair braiding... it was like Ita was made of pins and Fisher's personal bubble was in a constant state of compromise. Maybe it would be a good thing, though. Teach him to open up more. If anyone could do it, surely it would be Little Miss Sunshine.
"Music Theory... well, basically you learn the mechanics of music. How to read patterns in composure, indentifying rhythms, tones, etc. It's a fancy way of saying learning how to make music. A pretty useless major, when you get right down to it. All it taught me was how to hate songs I used to love and become a music snob." He smiled, though he was only half-kidding. Music theory had made him hate boy bands more than ever, but had brought new appreciation to classical music. Even if it did still put him to sleep.
"A chef, huh? I might have guessed." There was no way Ita had a degree already! What was she, twenty? She looked so young, it seemed impossible that she had even set foot into a college, let alone gotten a degree from one. "You seem too young to have a degree," he admitted. "Are you super smart or just visually deceptive?"
