Hopefully Ari wouldn't be too upset that she had let the story slip. It wouldn't have been the first time the elf became angry with her. Of course, this was quite a bit different from the last time. This was his pride on the line, not just some case of her insulting his stalking in the woods. "I imagine it is. They always say that those really competitive people ought to stick to singular sports. Like golf, or archery even. That way you're not having too much physical contact with your opinionate, and less inclined to play dirty." She nodded, pointing to herself. "That would be me. I played football... er, soccer for a couple of seasons, and was a bit too high strung for that. So, I know I'd likely get out of hand with fencing." Hell, if Starbuck hadn't been twice her size, she probably would have made more of an attempt to kick his ass in combat. "I agree, they are. Terrible habit." She knew, because she could have been counted among them.
"So, you've gone between the human world, and the supernatural world growing up?" It seemed that way to her at least. The way she spoke of going out, and coming back in. Vivian became a bit shifty eyed for a moment. "I admit, I have taken advantage of the fact that he's not as familiar with human culture. Also since he is American, more or less, I tend to confuse him with the way I speak." Using words that might only be known back home. "He's told me quite a bit about his rank, and I suppose they are supposed to hold true to it, but I think he should worry less about what they think of him." Vivian had told him such as well, but he seemed to merely brush the possibility aside.
She smiled softly, "And that's when he pretty much took up the task as your sometimes unwanted guard. So it was fate that brought you two together." That was one thing she believed. That everything happened for a reason. Every meeting, every event. It was all happened to help shape your life, and who you were as a person. Perhaps she was a bit of a romantic when it came to other peoples relationships, but not her own... strange. "Not even our parents, or grandparents can always account for what might blossom when enough time is spent with a person." She doubted that Lyn's grandmother had expected the two to fall in love.
"Well, it's better than it was last semester. They incorporated another time slot for our Bloodlust class. It's later in the afternoon." That had been helpful, for her at least. Besides, if the classes went too late, some of them might not be able to work. Their options were slightly more limited than the other students. Whatever they needed to do, it had to be done at night. They really only had half the time that the others did. "Going home is wonderful. My grandmother is the only one of my family left, so I spent most of my time with her. She finally expected me, for what I am now, she hadn't been able to there for a time." Vivian couldn't be more grateful that the two had made up.
