"Then we'll see," Lyn promised. She was finding that she enjoyed the company of this vampire. Really, she wasn't sure what she'd been afraid of all this time. Insatiable curiousity and yet a hesitation with the unknown. It's an interesting combination of both seeking and avoiding things.
The young woman chuckled at that, "You know, thinking back on it, I'm a little amazed myself." She thought about it for a moment, finding that it wasn't difficult to speak to Vivian about it. "Actually, to hear him say it, it was a most spectular argument and in the end we didn't speak for months. I left Canada and it wasn't until I came here that we saw each other again." But for her part, Lyn didn't remember much of it. She only remembered wanting to bend him in half. Though apparently her grandmother took care of much of that for her. "So I doubt anyone would accuse me of any dramatic shows of patience," she smiled.
"Maybe he does," she confirmed as to any favors owed. "Ari even braved a cab ride, which he distests. Being trapped in a car like that is like a big metal coffin to him." Maybe a different choice of words was in order. But it was accurate. "He wanted me out of that club so bad, I guess he got his wish. We hardly stayed late, and whatever it is he was afraid of happening didn't seem to be close." She leaned forward a bit, "Was Hell really as shady and dangerous as he tried to make it sound?" He could have been exaggerating. He had a tendency to be overprotective, erring on the side of overt caution.
A sly smile crossed her lips, "As soon as you find out, definitely let me know. I don't know...it could be a lot of fun." Sometimes she just really wanted to get out of her comfort zone, and this seemed like the perfect opportunity. "You and me both."
Hmm. "May I ask you a question? I mean, I know what I've heard. But I'm curious, I mean...I know this school is full of them but you're the first one I feel like I've had a real conversation with outside of my advisor. Vampire, that is. Do you really have to drink blood in order to survive? Human blood?"
