Standing back, Ita wanted to make this as quick as possible. She snapped the one picture with Jillian's face so no one could doubt it was her, and then moved in close for the photo of the bruise, and she attempted to catch a few other injuries, too. But no more than a half dozen pictures total. Quick and painless. This part at least.
Setting the camera down, she stood up and gave her friend a hug. Concentrating, she sent the waves of healing energy into her friends body. Imagining the bruise as a dark spot - like an oil slick in otherwise pristine water - she sent the cool clean energy of her magic to wash it away. After a few moments, she could tell that the dark blot was gone, and she released the embrace. And sat down heavily. Ugh, it took a lot to heal. Softly, she asked, "Could you get me a water bottle out of the fridge, please?"
