Noticing Jillian's distress, Ita did not persist in insisting on defending her friend. That didn't mean she'd changed her mind or that she wouldn't blatantly attack anyone who went after Jillian. She just wasn't going to continue to upset her friend.
Well, so much for not upsetting her. "Jillian..." she said softly, kneeling down in front of her and setting both the dollar bill and the camera aside. "It's ok. I mean, I don't even have to have your face in all of them. I'll put them on a disk, one for you and one for me, and I'll hide mine. It's just... If you don't tell and then something else happens, you need this to show that it happened once before. Otherwise, there's no proof, ok?" She took Jillian's hand and petted it a bit, trying to calm her down, her eyes pleading that she'd understand. Noticing the tears about to burst, she stood up and sat down next to her, wrapping an arm around her shoulder. She was more upset than she was letting on, and that worried Ita a great deal.
