Maybe there was more to him, though at first glance that was a bit on the difficult side to tell. Cassandra tried not to be a person that wrote someone off based merely an impression or on a few choice actions. But she was wary, something lately had her hackles all up and she couldn't exactly say what. That all said though, she didn't think Xander a bad person. His talk of seducing and the like did make her feel distinctly uncomfortable though, it just wasn't something she was used to.
Cassandra's brows puckered slight at his laugh, it made her want to tug at the length of her sleeves and at the hem of her shirt, to make certain they were covering as much as possible. "I'd prefer not to draw looks at all whether it's for what is covered or what isn't covered and as far as that much skin showing..." Cassandra shook her head rapidly. "That's just an embarrassing vision waiting to happen." Not to mention how did you sit wearing a snug skirt like that, or get out of things. Just seemed complicated for someone who had very little experience in those matters.
Cassandra shot a look down at the birds who hadn't lost their focus on her despite her best efforts. "A hard what?" She asked looking over at Xander clearly confused by the term. "They do have hard beaks and if this wasn't a dream I'd be more than a little upset." And as if on cue, one raven took a nice poke at her leg and Cassandra danced away from him. Funny how she automatically thought of the bird as a male. "Let's just walk, maybe they won't follow. But I don't know how this all works. I'll try and put us somewhere better?" Though actually attempting to control a dream while in a dream was new for her. She'd only practiced everything she could before she actually fell alseep. Never seemed particularly helpful though.
The dreamscape in front of them opened into a different wooded setting, like they'd just walked a little further and the terrain had just shifted slightly. It was the leafy trees of North Carolina where she had spent many of her years growing up. Better? Only slightly.
