When she first looked up at him, he noticed the deer in the headlights look and felt a little bad even though she didn’t say he had interrupted her. Looking over at the notes, he simply nodded his head. Studying. Blah. He had some studying to do to but he didn’t feel like getting to it just now. He had plenty of time for that. “Homework? What subject is it?” He didn’t think he had seen her in any of his classes, but it was a possibility since they were so large and he felt like he was meeting new people from them every day.
And that was exactly why he didn’t think there was reason to be embarrassed for not recognizing someone even though they were in the same house. With so many people around, it was hard to know everyone right away. “Sydni? Are you friends with Frankie? Cuz she’s my sister.. I’m Vinnie.” She had to be the Sydni that Frankie had mentioned. How many people in their house could be named Sydni? Ok, more than one, but still.
Vinnie walked around to the sofa where she was sitting at and went to sit, but stopped himself. He didn’t wanna be rude by imposing his company on her, seeing as he had already kinda interrupted her before. “Mind if I sit down with ya for a bit?”
