"They really should be. But, should you be surprised? There are humans who treat other people like they're not important." Jillian's face drew inward for a moment before she shuddered and then forced herself to stop thinking about that day. She sighed and then looked to Ita, smirking at her next question.
"Oh no, no no, no skiing. I'd run into a tree," she laughed. "I enjoy the snow plenty, just...up in trees or taking a walk, you know?" Jillian drew her hands around the popcorn bowl, pausing in her eating for a moment. She missed the snow a little. "Does it snow here?" she asked, reaching for her drink again.
"Healing other people is neat," she murmured. "What's considered minor? Like a sprain?" Now this was fascinating. Healing was a skill she wouldn't have minded having. Something useful. "That's so sweet," Jillian smiled, feeling a little wistfulness. She wished she had had that kind of a relationship with her own father. And besides that, she could have used a healing touch growing up, with as many broken bones and cuts and sprains that she'd had. "Where are you from, originally? I'm from Oregon."
