When Shoko lost her shield, she looked away quite embarrassed that he noticed the blush regardless, "I don't tan..." she said quite defiantly for her. As he held her hands, she could feel her heart pound in her chest. Why did she like him? It was stupid, she told herself. Xander was an incubus. He's like trained to do this sort of thing. It only got worse when he pulled her closer. For a moment she nearly panicked.
She could feel her skin beginning to get that crawling feeling that it sometimes got when she felt she may lose control. The conversation didn't make things much easier. After her eyes briefly flashed grayish blue, she forced a smile, "No, boys thought I was too weird..." She didn't particularly agree with Xander's goal but as he rested his hands on her waist, she half-contemplated that wouldn't be such a bad idea. No, no, she told herself. She would freeze them.
Her hands shaking, she placed them around Xander's neck. He hid part of her hands in her sweatshirt but the cold still creeped out a little bit. She shook her head, "No, I still don't want to hurt you." Even though the sweatshirt was something she didn't want to wear particularly. She already had some sweat dripping down her forehead that briefly crystallized before turning to regular sweat and dripping down her cheek and her neck.
