"I wouldn't know much about it," she confessed with a slight shrug of her shoulders. "Don't think I've ever had to do any real chasing in my life." Alice reached back so that she could tuck the back of the skirt into the fold of her legs. These things really were more of a pain than they were worth. "Oh, guess you were expecting a more open kind of girl huh?" Well, at least she was trying to be more open with him. "I'm kind of shy when I meet new people if you haven't noticed already." She began to nibble at her lower lip again.
The fact that he had already seen her in her underwoos probably didn't help with her shyness either. Or that she had already seen him in his. That would normally work as an ice breaker for some, but for Alice it just only added to her nervousness. Which was odd since she did get felt up on her first day and that didn't bother her very much. Maybe it was because Kenzie seemed harmless compared to Xander. He was an incubus after all.
Alice laughed at the mention of having to fight off groupies. "Nope, you can't forget about them. It's a good thing you didn't grow up in Japan. I heard the girls there can get pretty vicious." She shifted herself back again so that he could have a little space. "And it's not that I'm not secure about my music," she paused for a moment. "Okay, maybe just a little."
Laying there with him sitting next to her and watching her was a little different for Alice. She had spent times like this before with a few of her friends and the closeness was nice. The fact that she was so close to someone of the opposite sex was what made it feel different. A little awkward maybe, but it was still nice. She really missed feeling this kind of comfort with someone.
