Yeah, well, he would look confused, wouldn't he? Not nearly half as confused as she had been finding out she was pregnant to begin with. Not that she did not love Kamea with all her heart, but she certainly had not believed it when the first test came back. Had took five more tests before she would even believe it.
"Her name's Kamea." She said happily, looking at her daughter. Looking back at Starbuck, she tried to make the next part meaningful. "She's just turned a year, hasn't started talking yet though." She was not sure how quick he might pick up on this. Because she really would rather not just come out and say it. That would be a bit embarrassing really.
Chewing on her hand, Kamea started babbling around it. She could not talk yet, but that did not mean she was not noisy at times. Even a baby had things to say, even if no one understood her. Lani shifted Kamea so that she set on her hip better.
