"I don't really know that there's anything quite work freaking out over this time, actually. It all seemed relatively...tame." Of course there was that one little bit of it that made him think that maybe it was hinting towards Sam and while he didn't want to ruin this nice little afternoon they seemed to be having so far, there was that little voice gnawing at the back of his brain that just refused to give up. "I think you might want to take a peek, though. There are a few interesting bits....one of them, well it seems to be discussing Kiernan." God, it took so much just to say his name.
He was definitely too lazy to move at the moment, even to hunt for food, well other than those cookies she'd given him. Besides, he had a present to open, didn't he? It really was too funny all of the things she'd managed to gather for him bearing the "I <3 NY" logo. He hadn't even had the slightest idea that they made boxer shorts, but it seemed you truly did learn something new everyday. "I suppose I'll have to model all of this for you now?" he teased with a grin.
Her present was next, though he was definitely nervous about handing it over. If she didn't like it he couldn't really blame her - it was an antique piece after all, it might not be up to par especially given the jewelry he'd given her on other occasions. But truly it meant more to him than anything else - Samuel, his grandfather, had been the most important person in his life for so long, his very existence had inspired Easton. And Samuel had been head over heels in love with his wife, so of course that bracelet held sentimental value. Giving it to Sam was a big step, at least he felt it was, hopefully she'd see just how hard he truly was trying at all of this.
East nearly sighed in relief at the smile that touched her lips when she laid eyes on it, more than happy to reach over and fasten it around her wrist. He wasn't expecting the kiss, falling back against the bed with a laugh, "You're welcome, Sammy." He grinned, leaning up to brush another kiss to her lips. Whew, that was a load off of his mind.
