It wasn't anything Noah wished on anyone. He'd sure as hell kicked his own ass a few times around the block for the fact that he'd been such an idiot about everything. Denial really wasn't just a river... it was pretty fucking stupid and he sure as hell knew that it had gotten Nat hurt far more than he'd ever wished for her... for anyone for that matter. But that was kind of the story of his life. Good intentions only got you so far.
Whether things around Halycon were any worse than they were in any other city... Noah couldn't really say. He'd been to his fair share of clubs and parties and while Hell had things he'd never personally seen before. He was also pretty sure that there were some fucked up clubs all over the world. So who really knew if it was out of control or not, at least not any more out of control than any other club scene. People here could just take a hell of a lot more which was kind of disturbing in it's own right.
Noah admittedly didn't know much about sharks. Nothing past having a healthy fear of them as a surfer and from having watched his fair share of shark week, when he had the free time to just sit and veg with the tv. That probably hadn't been as often for any other guy his age but he'd managed when he could, everyone needed some down time that didn't involve watching tape. "Okay well that would really have to suck and I actually have no idea if we could survive that. Maybe... especially if you were shifted when it happened? I mean we are a lot more resilient now but not sure if we're that resilient." Damn. Note to self: never get bitten by a shark.
Noah gave a nod of his head. "I like that theory. If we could have survived a few months ago... I'd like to think we've only upped our chances now. Still might have to bet on the shark, you know if I was a betting man." Noah added with a smile.
