"Not the same no." but that didn't mean he couldn't get a good education from here. It was more a matter of what sort he wanted and really that wasn’t a question Jasper knew how to answer yet. It was rare he was asked what he wanted and when he was..it always threw him off a bit. It was difficult to make decisions for yourself when you really didn't know what it was you were looking for or even needed.
All he knew was that he wasn't happy how he was. But that didn't mean he'd be happy away from Micah either. In fact he knew he'd be worried all the time if he wasn't around his brother. It wasn't as though contact couldn't be kept but that was still a far cry different from how it had been their entire lives.
"It sounds nice in theory." was all he could really answer with. By the idea alone it seemed like something he'd enjoy but Jasper was weary of the human world. It wasn't as though the hustlers were the first or last people to take advantage of others and Jasper knew that he was...easily noticed by people like that. In the school, here, there was protection. Out in the cities, the human areas, there wasn't.
He thought he was able to stand on his own and yet at the same time was terrified to do so.
"Why wouldn't I want to know what you think? You’re my brother..." and his opinion mattered more to Jasper then Micah probably even realized. If he said don't go Jasper wouldn't have and that would have been the end of it. There wouldn't be any question, doubt, or even thought of it again. It wasn't that his brother’s word was law or anything no...but that he trusted what Micah said and knew he'd have reasons just as Jasper did, for not wanting him to leave.
Jasper looked at the brochures, taking another moment or two to smoke his cigarette and think. "Maybe..." but for Jasper there wasn't really any heaven or happy or anything else without his brother. Which was where the worry came in. The doubt.
“So you think I should go?” he questioned finally, picking up one of the many brochures that had interested him and glancing over the image there again. He wanted one that wasn’t really far from the island but considering how the place moved he knew really that any place was going to be just as far when it came to just the simple fact of being away.
