"I think you did what many of us have done in our lives." a lapse of judgment, call it stupid if you want but everyone had their moments of it. Cassius certainly had, he still did, all too often at times. Or maybe that simply felt like lately. If anything it was a lesson learned...or at the very least reminded. One that Cassius hoped she'd better keep in mind for next time she went out. Nothing wrong with a drink or an escape but safety shouldn't be forfeited for it. Especially not when the club and school itself tried to ensure such too. That was why cabs were on call for all students.
"What people? One who faces what is troubling them and tries to find a way through it? I happen to respect those sorts of people. Its easier to hide away and pretend all is fine then it is to openly deal with what’s wrong." Running away was a temporary aversion but that problem was still there when the liquor wore off and the night ended. But trying to face it all too soon could sometimes be just as bad. The double edged sword, life was filled with them.
Cassius had his guess that Davia was a bit shier then some around the school. Not as loud or rambunctious...though of course as a teacher he really didn’t mind that in the least. But it did make, at times, for difficult meetings. Hopefully classes and clubs would help with that a bit. Good way to interact with those you might not normally. For as much as students complained about the classes Cassius thought they really did enjoy at least that aspect of it.Not that some would admit to liking anything at all about the school. Strange, that attitude, when none were ever forced to stay.
Her reaction made him arch his brow slightly. "Of course." heightened emotions were difficult for him to be around but he wasn’t going to just turn and walk away. Okay guys gone, have a good night. Wasn't really what he was like and certainly wasn’t what Davia needed right now. His night held no plans, nothing but aimless attempts to sort out thoughts that did not wish to be. Perhaps he’d put better use to the night hours by helping someone else with their struggles even if he couldn’t seem to help his own.
As she stood so too did Cassius, a hand reaching out to steady her though he spoke nothing on it. Just a slight motion to the side where they were to start walking. “The café isn’t far.” Cassius had gone there before, once or twice working there rather then his office, room or home. This time of night it wasn’t often that busy and should provide them with an adequate place to talk.
