Keirnan was a bit of a stubborn ass. Okay a lot of a stubborn ass. And that was probably what was keeping him from thinking that adding blood to normal food was something he'd like to try. Just seemed... wrong on some level. Though if he thought about it, it would have it's perks. Easier to share a snack with Alana when he was eating something he actually needed at the same time.
Yep, he really needed to get over his issues when it came to the whole blood thing.
"Not really, I'll be honest I was never much of a cook even when I needed to. My daughter tells me that repeatedly. I've mastered Mac and Cheese and that's about it. So really Cayenne pepper was just the only thing I could think of." And honesty points for Kiernan... or something like that.
He watched as she worked with the dough, she sure as hell knew what she was doing. Not that that was surprising considering where she was working. He didn't respond right away to the question, took him a moment to pull his attention back up, ears waiting for the ding to let him know that the blood was warmed.
"You could put it that way..." he answered somewhat vaguely. No, he didn't like the idea of being a vampire, fucking hated it if he was being honest. But that wasn't all that hard to tell. He didn't exactly hide his contempt. The warmer dinged but Kiernan didn't move to retrieve his bag of blood. Instead he just looked at her for a moment before a smile (holy crap) creased at his features.
