Demons, in kNock’s experience, oftenhad a fondness for fae, for one reason or another. Quite often that reason was the breakability, as they called it. Not so kNock. Oh yes, he liked them alright, though not because they were “breakable”, but because they were delicate. At least that was one reason. Though all fae, just like individuals of every race, were different one from the other. For instance, kNock had never encountered anyone before that had quite the special gifts of Kissy, nor had he ever met any with quite the same disposition. Certainly he’d never met anyone who seemed to sparkle as she did. It was a unique trait. Even for a faerie.
Well, he couldn’t have her contorting herself (at least not for this conversation, though it was nice to think of what pleasant ways she might be twisted in the future), so kNock quickly stepped forward and was then walking beside the caramel colored fae. He smiled pleasantly when she spoke of her Innia, clearly a woman Kissy felt a lot of fondness for. “Praps not,” he nodded. “But I bet with you living in it it smelled like a pink marshmallowey fluffy goodness castle. With sprinkles.” He had no idea, but that sounded pretty sweet to him. Surely she liked sweet.
The smile took on a different twist when she continued, one slightly more charming, if possible. “It’s not easy. We take a lot of showers,” he winked.
They took a few more steps, bringing them closer to the Zephyr house, before their conversation turned to his parents. “I don’t know them.” He said casually. He added… “I have no family. Only the students here at Halcyon.” Most of whom had no idea he even existed. “And a couple of friends outside.”
