If there was one pleasant thing Knock had picked up from living in southern California, aside from Saint Grey, it was the avocado. The ugly greenish black thing with the delectable innards. He’d taken some back to Europe, where he was simultaneously ridiculed and praised for the find. It was odd, to say the least, and not everyone is willing to taste something that didn’t have an appealing look. If not for Grey’s insistence, Knock might not have tried it either. Of course, willing as he is to please others, Knock has likely tried more new things in life than many others. Since often he is put in the position to try things even before the others.
He was going to get the bag open. Really. But he didn’t want to put his mouth all over the pretty package. He’d rather have used the knife in his pocket. Nevermind, Kissy had a go at it. Quite handily too.
He took one of the offered candies and copied her own method of popping the whole thing into her mouth. Now, was he to suck it? Or chew? Maybe a bit of both. It was tasty, whichever.
“England actually,” he replied without correcting her dropping the last bit. She’d figure it out on her own, and if she never did, well… who was he to make demands on other’s speech? “I reckon my accent's not near as obvious as I think?"
