Week Advancement: Week Seven Week Seven Dates: Monday May 13th through Sunday May 19th Season: Spring 2007 Month: Mid May
Announcements: Well talk about getting to play at the beach inside last week! The students that attended the Spring Fling got a sandy festivity set up for them! The beach theme matched well with the activities that had gone on in hell the day previous and seemed to be quite the hit! That is besides with those having to do the clean up. Don’t even ask how long that took! But it was well worth it to put on an event for you students to enjoy.
It looks like more then a few students got a bit forgetful that night however. Three pairs of shoes, a jacket, a t-shirt and two baseball caps were found scattered about the various rooms after clean up was completed. Should you be missing anything please head to the main office where all of said items are being kept. If no one claims them within two weeks they will be donated down in the city.
The weekend ended with some warm weather and from the sounds of it that weather will keep up for this entire week. If you plan to go outdoors take the heat into consideration. Sun block and water are important, even supernaturals can get dehydrated. The school would also like to remind any playing sports outdoors to be careful on just how close to the school you are. Broken windows are bad enough but given how many of our students here are rather light intolerable, it can be very dangerous.
This weekend, however, all you sports fans can expect some fun. Various activities are going to be set up for all students to participate in. Baseball, football, obstacle courses, water balloons and much much more. Consider it an all day track and field sort of event but one that is all about fun and not any gold metal prizes. When the school says all day it does mean it. The events will start at noon on Saturday and go till midnight. Everyone has chance to come out and have some fun. ((Mod Note: This will not be posted by mods, players can simply play it as they feel like it))
Dance club is asking current members and interested parties to join them to prepare for their bi-annual Season of Dance show that will be held towards the end of this month This spring, they will put on three performances showcasing the hard work of student choreographers, dancers, lighting crew, and costumers. Season of Dance is intended for anyone willing to lend a hand, no matter how much or how little they can give. Join now and be a part of an artistic experience that goes back centuries! The dance show will be held on Friday May 31st and will be showcased in the main assembly hall. Attendance of this show is not mandatory and will be held after classes but administration does encourage students to go and show their support of this art form! Make sure to get in with these groups now and have some fun learning something new and putting on a show.
This week is also a week to say goodbye to some well loved staff members here at halcyon as well as a few students. The spring weather has brought about some wanderlust in these folks and it appears travel is in their future. We thank both Vale Razvan and Janos Bartol for all their hard work and wish them, and the students, a good trip!
Never fear to those in Vale’s classes, a great teacher will be handling those classes starting this Wednesday when he leaves. Also Vale would like to assure all those that work at Heaven and Hell or have interest in hosting events there that his second in charge “S” is more then capable of handling everything. Should anyone have questions they can email him directly at the club or call. For all students that had them as a guide please check your school emails as the administration will be contacting you to let you know who your new guide will be.
