"What's eerie?" Shoko didn't know Cassandra had precognition. Eerie was a funny word. It was English but it almost sounded Japanese "iri". She tilted her head to the side like a confused puppy. She smiled a bit, happy she was making a pleasant conversation with someone. "I think names are very important. It says a lot on what your parents thought of you when they gave you the name. It is the same with nicknames! I have some unfortunate nicknames though," she went from topic to topic like a skipping stone across a lake, "In Harvard, they called me Snow White. For Halloween, my friends got me a costume so I could be Snow White. That nickname came from my white skin though but it was not an insult so I liked it. When I was a child, they called me Obake which is Japanese for monster because my features were so shocking. It made me sad though. In high school I got the nickname Yuki-onna which is a spirit in Japanese mythology. It means Snow Woman. Yuki-onna were women who lived in cold climates and lured people away until they froze to death." She laughed a little nervously, "My mother probably could have been mistaken for one of those. Tousan met her in winter during a blizzard." There. Shoko's entire history. And you just met her. Her eyes grew wide and she quickly bowed, "I'm sorry! I talk a lot and probably told you too much about myself."
