"I thought you said something about a challenge?" Kate quipped, taking up her box again as she stepped forward. Yet another arrow was pulled from her quiver, knocked into place with well practiced ease. She aimed and pulled back, taking a moment to study the wind, the incline of the land between her and the target, the debris that Braden had planted... It wasn't quite as complicated as he'd hoped, but it was better than the stand out targets.
She let her arrow fly a moment later, heard it whizzing through the air, knocking against the leaves of the tree his own had passed through. It struck the target at an angle, just like she'd planned, causing the whole thing to lean just slightly into the shadow of the neighboring tree, making it a more difficult shot than originally intended.
