While Braden was late to this little contest of sorts, he didn't feel bad about it or really care. Why should he rush to embarrass either of them? It was an inevitable reality so after taking his time to drop off his things and grab a bite to eat, he finally grabbed his bow and headed for the range.
As he made his way across the grounds, he briefly wondered if the young lass would cry once she was beaten. She didn't exactly strike him as the crying type, but once he shattered her self proclaimed reputation of being the best well...there is only so much heart ache a human can take after all. Good thing he was carrying a handkerchief today.
A sly smirk turned his lips as he neared with nearly silent footsteps, and he paused a ways back as he watched the other two interact. Ari had decent form but with a shot like that Braden wouldn't be surprised to see Kate beat him. Shame really. Pulling an arrow from his own quiver, he lined up a shot and waited until the two were distracted with that yapping again to let go. Keen eyes helped him line up with the previously fired arrow and in a mere moment later, his was slicing through it and putting the other bloke to shame.
"Hope you don't mind me cutting in line but it seemed too good to pass up." Yeah, he was an ass.
